Blue Boat House

Hello my lovelies, how is everyone doing?

I usually post on Mondays but I missed yesterday. I finally submitted my MA dissertation and decided to take the time off. Literally to chill out and not doing anything. 🙂 I am currently packing my bags and I am very excited to have an extended holiday visiting family and friends back in Asia. Exciting things are planned and one of it involves a staycation with my girls. Just thinking of it makes me so happy. That’s what besties do huh, raise our happiness level to a height you feel like you are basically on cloud 9!

Looking forward to our get together made me reminisce our last holiday in Perth. Perth was great because of the girls. However, Perth was also great because of its lovely charm. The laid back vibe is just something else. One particular place I would like to share with you guys is the Blue Boat House.

Another name for it is the Perth Crawley Edge Boatshed but commonly known just as the Blue Boat House. It is a very instagrammable spot and I couldn’t agree more. The Blue Boat House is surprisingly easy to get to from Perth CBD. We took the Transperth bus no.950 and the ride was about 20 minutes. Since it is located just off the road (it is to your left while driving along Mounts Bay Road heading towards Fremantle), taking the bus is the easiest. Have your google map ready and while you are reaching the destination you will easily spot the boathouse. For those who are driving, it will be slightly difficult to get a parking slot because there is no parking bay for you to stop. However, you can drive ahead for about 500m and turn left into the Perth Dinghy Sailing Club. We were lucky to have the whole boathouse to ourselves and we stayed to take photos after photos till another group popped up. Trust me, if you want to take your pictures in peace do go early. The last thing you want to do is to take your shots awkwardly while have many pairs of eyes staring at you.

Take a look at the boathouse and you would want to make a trip yourself the next time you are in Perth.

Hope you are inspired as much as I am!

Till next time lovelies,

xx, Mielyn
